Dear Sakurai Community,
On 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, we are excited to host Nathan Fitzpatrick from Quantinuum for a special Fireside Chat with Quantum Formalism Academy students.
This session comes in light of Nathan’s recent job posting on 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲, where he highlighted 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 as a key requirement. This ties in perfectly with our 𝐋𝐢𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 course by Brian Hepler, PhD, which covers Representation Theory.
Building a strong mathematical foundation beyond the basic linear algebra covered superficially in most introductory quantum computing courses is crucial for cutting-edge research in quantum algorithms. If anyone tells you that all you need is Python and basic linear algebra, they are not being completely honest with you.
To give more people a chance to experience this discussion, we have decided to open limited spots for non-enrolled guests. This is a great opportunity to see how our fireside chats work and ask Nathan your questions.
